A Long December…
by Joe Gindi December 9th, 2009

Fellow ‘Staqers,
Thanks to you, our initial beta launch has been very successful and the feedback we received from you guys (and gals) has been an amazing boost.
In the next couple weeks, we’ll be leveling up the site with all the much needed features and options that the community has been requesting.
The sucky part about all this is that transactions will be off limits during this transition.
Our Blog will be fully open, and we’ll be posting regularly. So please feel free to speak your minds in the comments.
Gamestaq will be relaunching, better than ever, Spring 2010.
Keep those fingers warm playing all your holiday games… We’ll be back before you know it.
You guys rock!

I placed an order on 12/8 and sent in the games before receiving the paypal credit. Now it’s 12/14, still no paypal, still no response from gamestaq. What is going on?

Plans to continue through Spring then - good. I was afraid y’all had to go out of business since it wasn’t doing so well, hopefully it is doing well. I’m guessing you have problems with us wanting to BUY your games, I think its because we can find new copies at the same price or used copies slightly cheaper, if we hunt for deals… what you might have to do is offer games to sell at a more competitive lower price, and offset this by a higher transaction fee for sellers. So sellers won’t get as much for their game but they’ll still get at least the same as selling it back to Amazon.
Anyway, hope it works out.

I disagree with you driver01z, you can’t find a copy of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves for $35, which would come out to around $42 after the fee and taxes/shipping, anywhere else. I agree that it is getting a bit difficult as there is more of a demand to sell than there is to buy but I have picked up a lot of great titles for a low price and saved myself $30 or $40. Hell, I would love to be able to at least sell my game on here for the same price that I could at Amazon.com just so that the community still thrives.
Keep up the good work Gamestaq and please come back soon; I really want to grab some new titles for my newly acquired PS3.

i love this website, i hope one day that this business will ruin gamestop in the used game market. Especially since it’s gamers selling to gamers, making high profits and deals at the same time, not the normal price gouging bullshit that gamestop does.
You guys have a great idea at work, if only i had thought of it myself
